FFL double-clutch & ATF programs

Pentosin Transmission Fluid

No universal fluids here — by design. Each FFL double-clutch formulation and each numbered ATF is blended for a specific gearbox architecture, because shift feel is a friction equation with exactly one right answer.

Shelf notes

Reading this shelf right

The Pentosin transmission program splits into two families. FFL fluids serve double-clutch gearboxes — DSG and DCT — where the fluid must lubricate gears, cool clutch packs and deliver a precise friction bite all at once; FFL-2 carries first-fill and service-fill approval, and the newer FFL-52529 extends the program to current gearbox generations. The ATF side runs by number: ATF 134 for classic Mercedes-Benz five- and seven-speed automatics, ATF 6 and ATF 9 for the long-life, low-viscosity era of eight- and nine-speed transmissions.

The rule printed on the FFL cans is the rule for the whole shelf: friction characteristics are tailored to each gearbox and are not interchangeable. Find the grade your service book names, and feed the transmission exactly that.
